Captain Michael began fishing at the age of 18 as a commercial fisherman in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.  He fished the rough and cold waters of the Bering Sea, fishing for the infamous Red King Crab, and of course, other species.  He then moved to Kodiak, where he met his wife, and began a family.  He would fish the Bering Sea during the winter months, and sport fish around Kodiak Island during the summer.  Then in 1995, Captain Michael made the decision to become a charter operator, but kept fishing commercially, up until 2002.  With his 100 ton Master's License and his experience as a commercial fisherman, he has become one of the most successful charter operators on the island.

The "Reel Fun" is equipped with a full kitchen that includes a sink, fridge, microwave, oven, and coffee pot.  A comfortable climate controlled cabin includes a dining room for meals, along with two state rooms and a private bath with shower.  Also available is a hard-bottom Achilles raft with a 25 horse powered, 4-stroke Yamaha for getting ashore.
