Happy Hooker Charters is available for guided duck hunts and unguided big game hunting charters. Whether it be daily, overnight, or drop off and pick up, Happy Hooker Charters can assist in planning your hunting trip.
Overnight Charters are for a maximum of four hunters, with a minimum of 3 days, 2 nights. All meals are included, which will be prepared and cooked by Captain Michael. Lodging will be aboard the "Reel Fun". A hard-bottom Achilles raft will be provided for getting to and from shore.
Happy Hooker Charters also offers a combo charter of fishing/hunting, which is a great way to enjoy the best of both outdoor activities.
Kodiak Island is famous for the Kodiak Brown Bear, which is very popular in big game hunts. With some weighing in as much as 1500 lbs., they are the largest bears in the world, and make for a very nice trophy.
Kodiak is on the migratory path for many of the waterfowls. Some of the most unique sea ducks in the world are found here, which include harlequins, barrow golden eyes, king and stellar eiders, and many more.
Other island favorites include Sitka Black-tailed Deer, Roosevelt Elk, and Mountain Goats.
Check with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game for all hunting permits/licenses and regulations, including seasons for each type of hunt.
